Lucy CHEN is an IP Director at Jiaquan IP Law. She joined the firm in 2017. Serving as the key liaison for overseas clients and foreign counterpart firms, she specializes in patent and trademark prosecution, IP litigation, IP portfolio management, legal due diligence, IP enforcement and commercial contract drafting.

She has handled over 2,000 patent and trademark matters for global clients ranging from SMEs to Fortune-calibre multinational corporations. Her client roster includes a  multinational financial services group, a renowned sportswear manufacturer, leading pharmaceutical enterprise, and top optical fiber communication manufacturers. Lucy regularly represents clients in patent infringement lawsuits and invalidation proceedings, as well as undertaking online platform enforcement and takedown complaints against IP infringements.

She excels at developing comprehensive IP protection strategies for clients, enabling them to safeguard intellectual property rights in China through both administrative and judicial channels. Beyond IP practice, Lucy handles broader commercial legal matters. Notably, she successfully assisted a Colombia-based client in resolving a product quality contractual dispute. In addition, Lucy led a cross-border IP due diligence project for an IP transaction valued at tens of millions. Lucy and her team are widely trusted to advise on NDAs and NNN agreements, as well as contract drafting and review, to fully safeguard clients’ commercial interests.
