Patent, trademark and copyright owners can register their IPR with the China Customs to seek for the customs protection. After registration, the China Customs will initiatively search imports and exports and exclude, detain and/or seize and destroy counterfeit and infringing products. And, if the Customs is informed in advance the information of infringing products, the exporting date and the port, they will immediately detain the goods, for up to twenty days. During the detention period, IPR owners can determine to file a suit or not.
