Winning in Patent Litigation & Invalidation: Recent Success Cases
Time: 2025-03-01

At Jiaquan IP Law, we are committed to delivering results in intellectual property disputes. Here are two recent victories that showcase our strategic approach in patent enforcement and invalidation:

Case 1: Patent Infringement Victory

Jiaquan representing a hardware manufacturer, and our colleague Yuning Li successfully enforced a utility model patent against an infringer in China. The defendant was found to have manufactured and sold infringing products, incorporating identical or equivalent technical features of our client’s patented invention.

Court Ruling: The defendant was ordered to immediately stop infringement and pay damages to compensate for our client’s losses. This case underscores the importance of proactive patent enforcement to safeguard technological advancements and maintain a competitive edge.

Case 2: Patent Invalidation Success

On the flip side, we represented our client in a high-stakes patent invalidation proceeding. Our colleague Yichang Fu challenged the validity of a competitor’s patent, leading to a full invalidation by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA).

Court Ruling: The Supreme People’s Court upheld the invalidation, ruling that the patent lacked inventiveness. This case highlights the power of strategic patent invalidation to eliminate barriers and ensure a more robust and competitive IP environment.

Why This Matters

If you hold valuable patents, enforcing them protects your market position.  If you face weak or blocking patents, strategic invalidation removes legal risks. Understanding both offensive and defensive patent strategies is key to winning in IP litigation.
